Jennifer Narby
Massage Therapist
Jennifer graduated from massage school in Raleigh, North Carolina. where she began her career practicing massage therapy. She worked for two years in an up and coming spa in the city. learning a host of spa techniques including hot stone, aromatherapy, hair treatments, and wraps. While the spa provided a healthy and happy environment to work in, Jennifer quickly realized her calling in helping others rested outside of the relaxation 'spa type" of environment. After moving to Colorado in 2011, she began working alongside a group of chiropractors, one of which was focusing on a more structural integration style of work. This style of massage is the direction Jennifer's career began to take, and she continued studying myofascial work under highly trained professionals. Jennifer has worked in Pueblo for almost three years, working primarily in clinical setting under a Physician and Nurse Practitioners. Her work in Pueblo has been geared towards neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue, structural manipulation, and myofascial release treatment. Through her years of experience, Jennifer has come to realize the body is complex, and the pain that patients experience could be attributed to areas of the body far removed from the initial source of pain. Always keeping the intention and energy aspect close to hand, Jennifer utilizes a combination of Western and Eastern approaches to her treatments. Scalp, hand, and foot massage are always an important aspect of any massage Jennifer gives, often times treating the muscles of the face as well. The body is an integral unit and should be cared for and treated as such. Jennifer is thrilled with the new direction in her career and to be practicing alongside the wonderful group at ITR Physical Therapy.
